The UCF football team will play at UAB Thanksgiving weekend.

Well, it depends on when you ask.
The UCF-UAB game was originally scheduled on Saturday, Nov. 28, but Blazers officials wisely pointed out it would be tough to hold a game opposite the Auburn-Alabama game better known as the Iron Bowl. The Iron Bowl is pretty much a holiday in Birmingham and UAB would have a hard time finding enough people to staff Legion Field, muchless a good crowd for the game.
Conference USA and CBS College Sports stepped up and moved the UCF-UAB game to Friday, Nov. 27. The Iron Bowl and CBS promptly got in the way of the game again, pushing back that matchup to Friday so that it could get premium air time the day after Thanksgiving.
Conference USA appears to have made yet another adjustment to avoid the UCF-UAB game conflict with the Iron Bowl, bumping it back to Saturday, Nov. 28, on the latest composite schedule released by the league office. It is unclear whether the league will have to go with regional broadcast options (CSS and Bright House Sports Network) instead of CBS College Sports because the network already has some Mountain West Conference games lined up for Saturday, Nov. 28.
